Ingredients

For Beef

  • 2 lbs of fatty beef cuts 
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp of cayenne pepper
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • 1 Chopped  onion
  • ¼ cup of olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp of butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cumin

For Tahini Sauce

  • 3 Tbsp of Tahini paste
  • ½ Tsp of cumin
  • ½ Tsp of black pepper
  • A Pinch  of Salt
  • ¼ Cup of liquid vinegar 
  • Add some water if needed

Instructions

Preparing The Beef

Pick your favorite beef cut and ensure it has plenty of fat in it. Any fat in the cut will greatly enhance the flavor of the Shawarma

Cut the beef into chunks of 4 inches long by no more than ⅔ inch in thickness.

Heat olive oil and butter in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onion chopped into small pieces

Add the beef, and all shawarma spices, cook and keep turning occasionally until beef is browned and tender.

Preparing The Tahini Sauce

In a small bowl whisk tahini, cumin, black pepper, and salt with ¼ cup of vinegar and add some water if needed until creamy.

Spread the tahini sauce over the shawarma when almost cook and let it tender all together.
